The Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel system includes the four wheel stroller, the SafeMax infant car seat and the Safe Zone base.
Evenflo has been in the game for over a century. Yes, you read that right. They have more than one hundred years of experience in manufacturing child safety systems and this really shows in their work.
The first thing that stands out in this travel system is the versatility. It functions in a lot of different ways without being tacky or gimicky. The design and quality of construction is highly impressive.
The travel system has 6 modes of operation. The toddler seat can be front or rear facing. It converts into a carriage (bassinet), also in both world and parent positions. The Sarema infant car seat can be mounted onto the frame in front or rear facing mode.
Now most travel systems include just the toddler seat and the car seat. A bassinet is usually not part of the package. Toddler seats are not approved for infants. This is a bit restrictive as the newborn can only ride in the infant car seat.
The fact that the stroller seat on the Pivot transforms into a bassinet means that newborns can ride in the stroller without needing a car seat. This is perfect for strolls to the local store, park etc. It’s just more practical for the parent and more comfortable for the infant.
We’ve got a feeling that Evenflo really know what they’re doing here. Let’s find out what else the Pivot is capable of.
Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System Features:

Complete Travel System: The travel system is usable from day one. Be it the bassinet or the infant car seat, newborns can be accommodated safely and comfortably. A removable body pillow is included for enhanced support.
The SafeMax infant seat is approved for babies weighing between 4 ad 35 pounds.
The stroller is capable of holding a kid weighing up to 50 pounds. That’s a respectable carrying capacity and parents will not need to upgrade to a more resilient model in the future. It’s a comprehensive birth to toddler strolling and travelling solution.
As mentioned earlier, the seats/bassinet are reversible. The toddler seat reclines to multiple positions to allow the occupant to sit upright or lie down after a long day of fun and games. A 5-point harness with shoulder pads keeps the occupant securely strapped into the seat. (The harness can be a 3 or 5 point depending upon the size of the baby)
Large Overhead Canopy: The three-fold canopy provides sufficient shade and privacy. It keeps the Sun, dust and wind out. There’s also a peek-a-boo window to allow the parent to check in on the kid at regular intervals.
Quick and Slim Fold: The stroller folds quickly via a trigger release mechanism. It’s easy to activate and the stroller stands independently when folded.
We really like free-standing folds as they give parents a bit of breathing room – they can take care of the baby and the luggage and don’t need to keep holding the stroller in their hands once it’s folded.
Also, strollers that are not self-standing fall straight to the ground and the fabrics become dirty. Parents then have to wash them more often (nobody’s looking forward to that!)
Considering that the stroller is so feature-rich, it has a relatively slim fold. It can be stored in the backs of most urban vehicles, baring very small hatchbacks.
Cruiser Tires: The front tires are 7 inches while the rear, 9 inches. They’re made using plastic and rubber. You can expect better traction than generic plastic wheels but not as much as bicycle wheels (these fall somewhere in between).
We think that they’re more than enough for urban strolling. If you’re looking for all terrain capability, then you should consider the Summit X3 by Baby Jogger or the Baby Trend Expedition.
Storage Basket: Located under the stroller seat, it’s more spacious than average. The sides are high and don’t sag even when fully loaded.
Flex-Hold Parent Cup Holder: The stroller is equipped with a parent cup holder and a removable child tray. These accessories are highly underrated in our opinion. Parents who’re stuck holding their drink in their hand while juggling a stroller will definitely relate.
The removable tray makes it easy to place and remove the baby from the seat.
Safemax Infant Car Seat: The Sarema car seat + stay-in-car base match perfectly with the Pivot stroller. The seat attaches/detaches quickly from the base and the stroller frame for a seamless transition from car to stroller and vice versa.
The car seat is compatible with the vehicle LATCH system or seat belts.
SafeZone Base With Anti-Rebound Bar: Limits rebound movement in case of a frontal impact.
Safety Standards: The car seat does not just meet federal safety standards, it’s actually twice as safe! It has also been tested for roll-overs and side impacts.
